The final public meeting, held in Berre-l’Étang, marked the conclusion of the wide-ranging debate initiated by the Commission nationale du débat public (CNDP).
This session provided a valuable opportunity to:
- Bring together the region’s key challenges and diverse perspectives
- Ensure that all voices were heard and acknowledged
- Enrich the ongoing reflection on our industrial project, firmly rooted in the local territory
On this occasion, Jacques-Yves Floch, Managing Director of Marcegaglia Fos-sur-Mer, reaffirmed the company’s ambitions for the Mistral project, highlighting the importance of maintaining an open and constructive dialogue with local stakeholders to collectively shape the decarbonized industry of the future:
« This debate offered Marcegaglia a genuine opportunity to engage with local stakeholders and residents, and to refine our Mistral project in relation to critical topics such as employment and skills development, resource management, and synergies with neighboring actors. What stands out from this process is the strong expectation for the decarbonization of our industrial activities, as a means to address both environmental and economic imperatives. It is essential that we work together to ensure that industrial development progresses in harmony with the growth of infrastructure and public services for both residents and workers. »
Marcegaglia Fos-sur-Mer reiterates its commitment to a responsible, collaborative, and forward-looking industrial trajectory.
This collective endeavor is only just beginning.
